Message from the Chair

Looking back on over 25 years of committed service to the property/casualty coverage needs of Illinois’ public schools, I can say with great satisfaction that the Illinois School District Agency (ISDA) has had a positive impact.

ISDA (wcsit-isda.com) proudly carries the endorsement of both the Illinois Association of School Boards and the Illinois Association of School Administrators. The endorsement of these two associations gives great credence to the quality of our programs.

Schools can rest assured that the ISDA is a safe haven for schools during turbulent inconsistencies in the insurance marketplace. ISDA monitors legislation and litigation involving public education nationwide to allow the coverage provided to members to stay ahead of the curve.

The Board of Regents of ISDA, committed to the oversight of the Trust operations, benefits from teamwork amongst school board members and superintendents to come up with solutions to problems. The Board takes pride in its consistent dedication to service of the members of ISDA. By embracing change, the diversity of our Board keeps the direction of our program relevant by remaining innovative, competitive and most of all dynamic with the ultimate beneficiary being its members.

Over the years, ISDA has paid property claims of nearly $34 million on behalf of its members. ISDA will continue to be Illinois’ public school districts’ leader, advocate and authority on property and liability coverage matters. Our approach allows schools direct access to the overall supervision of school district’s risk management needs and responsibilities. This approach has been our mission for more than 25 years and will remain our commitment to you for the future.
